Amateur Sports Commission

The Rochester Amateur Sports Commission (RASC) was formed in 1991 by a core group of business and sports visionaries. The idea was to bring to Rochester major national and international events, and along with them, the recognition of Rochester as a center for amateur sports. RASC has established itself as one of the premier sport organizations in the country.  Today, RASC has 5 full-time employees and runs over 20 events per year.

The Sports Commission strives to sponsor quality local, regional, national and world events. Every year RASC sponsors a variety of amateur sporting events. Some of the recent events organized by RASC include:

  • 2010 AAU Girls Basketball 12U National Championship
  • 2010 Jennie Finch Softball Camp
