One-Stop Shop for Family Fun

What do you get when you cross the dazzle of Las Vegas with the fun of an amusement park?

A family-entertainment complex named Bowlocity.

What used to be a 16,000-square-foot bowling alley called Recreation Lanes underwent a multimillion dollar expansion in 2014 and now boasts nearly 34,000 square feet and has laser tag, arcade games, a sports bar and party rooms. So even if you don't know a boomer from a bucket, you'll still find something fun to do.

Bowlocity's 40-game arcade features favorites such as skee-ball, air hockey, Pac-Man, NBA Hoops and Batman.

The arcade uses a debit-card redemption system, meaning money is stored on a Bowlocity Game Card that is used to play the games. The card also records the number of points you've earned during game play, making it easy to redeem prizes. What's more, the value and points on the card never expire, and cards can be registered with Bowlocity and replaced if lost.

After hitting nothing but net in the arcade, head over to Cyber Quest, the facility's two-story, state-of-the-art laser tag arena. Suit up for a solo mission or battle with a group of friends for team matches. Up to 20 people can play at a time, and the game's electronic system records the stats throughout the game.

When you're done wreaking laser-tag havoc, check out your scorecard to see how well you fared. You can use your vest to identify your score on the wall. No real names are used, so there is no fame or shame.

In addition to the arcade and laser tag, there is of course bowling, but this isn't your usual alley. An eight-lane suites area is complete with comfortable couches, a private bar, spacious party rooms and two 24-foot, high-definition projection screens for those photo montages popular for birthday and anniversary celebrations.

Sixteen traditional bowling lanes round out the offerings, and all the lanes are outfitted with automatic bumpers and scoring.

Once you've worked up a healthy appetite playing games, check out Bowlocity's sports bar. The full-service restaurant has all the usual suspects, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, pizza and a range of appetizers such as cheese curds and chicken fingers. And for special occasions, Bowlocity will decorate a 16-inch personalized chocolate chip cookie.

From the arcade and laser tag to bowling and finger foods, Bowlocity has a winning combination of fun and food. And whether you're scoring at skee-ball or seeing strikes on the bowling alley, there will be smiles and memories at the end of the day.
