Carillon Concert

The Rochester Carillon concerts serenade Mayo Clinic patients and visitors every Monday evening at 7pm and at noon every Wednesday and Friday. The concerts last 30 minutes or more, and are best heard from the Annenberg Plaza or the Peace Plaza in downtown Rochester. To view the carillon in the Plummer Building tower, please call ahead to arrange a personal or group tour.

Crossings at Carnegie in Zumbrota presents a new exhibit featuring the work of Marie Panlener and Mel Tudisco. An artists’ reception will be held Friday, June 23 from 6:30-7:45 pm at Crossings. The public is encouraged to come, enjoy the art, meet the artists and partake of light refreshments and wine.

The Heritage House Victorian Museum, located in Central Park in downtown Rochester, is open for summer visitors to take a trip back 140 years! Visit the museum and see how an upper middle class family would have lived in 1875. Tours take 45-60 minutes depending on the interest of the guest. Please note: Heritage House is not handicapped accessible. Private tours available.

Plummer House Tour

Tours are scheduled every Wednesday during the months of June, July, and August from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 p.m. Private group tours of 10 people or more of the house and grounds may be arranged by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department at 507-328-2525. The house is an English Tudor Mansion and was constructed between 1917 and 1924. Master Class for Intermediate Piano Soloists

Selected students will each perform a piece from the Federation Bulletin in preparation for Festival 2018. These will be "works in progress from levels Elementary I, Elementary III, Medium, and Moderately Difficult I. Dr. David Shaffer-Gottschalk will offer suggestions to these young students to alleviate performance anxiety, improve technique, and give insight about interpretation and artistry.
