Rochester, Minn. offers a variety of art and antique experiences for treasure hunters from around the world.  From world-class art collections to a variety of antique shops, visitors find a wealth of artifacts in a clean and safe Midwestern oasis.

Rochester Art Center

Opened in May 2004, the Rochester Art Center features changing exhibits focused on regional, national and international artists, including Warren MacKenzie, Roman Signer and Judy Onifrio.  The three-story atrium that serves as an entrance to the building is encased by glass, allowing visitors to relate with the Zumbro River, Mayo Park and downtown Rochester through a stunning view.  

SEMVA Art Gallery

The South East Minnesota Visual Artists Gallery (SEMVA) is located in the Peace Plaza in downtown Rochester, offering a wide variety of works from southeastern Minnesota artists.

Blondell Antiques

Located in the Blondell Hotel, across the street from the entrance of St. Mary's Hospital, the inventory at Blondell Antiques consists of Scandinavian and Norwegian antiques, folk art and furniture.

John Kruesel's General Merchandise & Auction Company

This shop carries a line of antiques specializing in estate jewelry, lighting, historic photos and documents as well as "the unusual."  The store also provides appraisals, marketing advice, a complete auction/estate sale service and consultation on historic lighting restoration projects.

Mayowood Gallery

Fine 18th and 19th century English antiques and garden accents can be found at Mayowood Gallery's downtown location.

Old River Valley Antiques

Opened in December 2009, this 3,200-square-foot antique mall exhibits pieces from more than 10 dealers ranging from furniture and toys to books and even fishing lures and Red Wing pottery.

Old Rooster Antique Mall

This antique mall has a wide variety of toys, tools, glass, books, furniture and other antique collectibles for treasure hunters of all interests.

Kay Hoecker Gallery

Located in the Grand Shops at the Kahler-Marriott, this gallery features original oil and watercolor paintings from local, national and global artists.

Peterson's Antiques & Stripping

With furniture as its specialty, this shop's expertise is antique refinishing and restoring.

James Krom Natural Images

Natural Images is an art gallery with a range of unique gifts, including bronzes, silk garments, paintings and jewelry of American artists, specifically from the Minnesota area.

Callaway Galleries

A gallery of fine art and crafts located on the court level of the Marriott hotel, featuring works in glass, metal, paper, wood, clay and fiber.
